SUPER FUN TO RIDE
Training:
Trail Riding - 4 yrs. Solid, steady, will go anywhere, loves to be challenged. Going up an 80 degree incline through trees, JoC's rear shoe became wedged in some buried fencing. She just stopped and stood calmly for the time it took to free her (forgot to take wire cutters in my pack) even though the coyotes were getting closer. She's shared trails with pedestrians and bicycles. Gone through water, under highway overpasses, over wooden bridges. Forest, open field, cliffs, metropolitan or country roads, obstacles, ask her to go and she will. Dogs, coyotes, deer, turkey, hunters, motorcycles, firetrucks, marching bands, traffic she takes them all in stride. Will ride by herself.
Jumper - 90 days training. Will jump anything. Sets up nicely and is ready for next jump as you look at it. Very elastic. Lands on correct lead and can shave seconds between jumps with her agility. Oxers and in-outs are her fun.
Hunter - Mesmerizing movement. You can't take your eyes off her feet. Good cadence, willing partner stays under her rider. Shown beginning hunter 2'9". Very good scores over fences. Decent equitation scores. Currently schooling 3'9".
Eventing - Excellent prospect. We play at the cross country course and she has a blast. Downhills are her favorite.
Cattle - just enough to get her comfortable in the chutes, aisles, gate, run down, and driving. Her sire was a 4 time cutting champion and her dam works cattle. Ropes don't bother her. Will work off a spur, but is very responsive to seat.
Games - Playday type barrels, poles, keyhole, bareback, double, pick-up, etc. You can ride this girl sitting backwrds in the saddle. She's even fun to ride while standing in the seat of the saddle.
Lesson Horse - Used as a western and english lesson horse since she was green. Children and adults. Teenagers love her.
Ground - Stands ground tied for saddling or tied in cross ties or hitching post or tree. Lunges - on line, in pessoa, and at liberty. She's been used as a demonstration horse for children's programs. Bathes, clips, farrier, vet, throw the lead over her back and tell her to load. Hand or pasture breed. Excellent temperament as a broodmare. Very good mother that has no problems sharing her foal with humans.
***************
Temperament - Kind. She knows she's got "IT". Rides up to the rider's ability. Gets along with other horses but doesn't try to be buddies. Nor does she try to be alpha. She will stand up for herself. Has not been ridden with many stallions but has never acted up when in heat. She can be PMSie if you are only doing rail work during her heat - add a little challenge and she comes right out of it. Can be stalled or pastured. She prefers to stay dry if given the choice. JoC was born in my lap and fully imprinted at birth. Meets you at the gate or comes to her name or whistle. Quiet and patient enough for little kids to saddle and bridle. Children can lead and groom her. She would be suited for experienced 9 yr olds & up.
If you are looking for a well balanced, competitive, go anywhere, do anything, fun to ride horse take a second look at this girl.
